I agree with Bill a traffic light would eliminate many of the parking spaces in the center of town. We cannot afford to lose one space. Perhaps signage pointing folks to town lots would help those who are spending more time in town. A well lit path way to the St. Michaels lot with good paving and defined edges would make it more attractive and safe.

A robust crossing system is needed in the center of town. This would slow down traffic and it would help drivers see the cross walks and pedestrians. Better lighting would help. The lighting in the village center is poor at best and does not enhance the appearance or provide pedestrian safety.

A plan for the downtown knitting together parking, sidewalks, lighting, crosswalks and landscaping is needed. This plan would need to define short and long term goals and budgets.
