We've had an indigo bunting on our bird feeder for several days. A first batch of bluebird chicks, which hatched weeks ago in our bluebird house, now seem to have flown and the parents act like they are getting ready to have more.

I love the idea of getting rid of big LAWNS and having what a friend of mine refers to as "a God's Lawn!"
These lady slippers are so beautiful. I am enjoying , in our back yard, many pretty ferns, johny-jumpups, violets and lilies-of -the-valley right now and of course, numerous dandelions!!!!

Why not enjoy these wonders of nature instead of spending "oodles of money" on fertilizers, etc. etc.

It is a thought.
