I personally don’t know there won’t be another recall amendment.
In fact, I am willing to work with a group to come up with a more responsible version.

We all know there will never be another recall bill proposed if this fails. We also know that if this passes, everyone will be on board to amend it.

I’m tempted to as well, because I just don’t see a recall amendment being on the top of anyone’s ‘to-do’ list when this one gets voted down. But I wish this one had more details and a higher bar than it has. It probably would have gotten more support.

The recall petition is only a tool to get the process started. It would still take a majority vote to complete the recall. I think that we need to have this in place and I don’t believe that it will be overused. I am voting for it.

thank you, Molly, again for your wise assessment and ability to always see the “third way” or the constructive alternative to being combative.
I am voting NO and hope for a large turn-out with the same intention.
Let’s all get on board in making South Berwick the home town we all want to live in and pass along to our grandchildren.

51% This percentage is central to democratic processes.

The fact that accepting anything less is even being considered is very concerning!

Our school administration has already done enough damage to the well being of our town by making decisions that provide short term band-aids to problems that only please a small fraction of us. Let’s not allow that same poor decision making to carry into our local government.

Any and all decisions should be made through a democratic process which requires a majority rule.
