Businesses: South Berwick Shop and Swap
South Berwick resident Cliff Gilliam has started a website where you can buy and sell items locally. The site works similarly to Ebay but is for local users and allows you to sell anything that you have, upload a picture of the item, bid on items, and buy it now. Because it is for local residents, you can check out items before you buy and eliminate shipping costs. Mr. Gilliam hopes it will be a way for local residents to make a little extra money or pick up a bargain from a neighbor.

This is absolutely fabulous! Thanks to Cliff for providing this great service. We were just debating having a yard sale to unload many unused/unwanted items, but I think we’ll use this instead.

I’m making a list of things to put on it. I love the local aspect–you also get to meet neighbors through the service.

sounds like an awesome idea!
Anybody need a hospital bed?

Wanna buy a house?….just kidding.

Good Morning,
I’m wondering if there has been progress on making a Business Listing for South Berwick, and if so, where can I access it?
Thanks.

Do you mean a published South Berwick business directory? I believe one is now in the works that will be mailed to every household in July and will also include a local phone directory. Call the town office to learn more. Maybe there is still time to get your business listed, if that is what you are interested in.

Thanks for the information. I called today and got in under the wire. It is more expensive to advertise in than the old red book, but it looks like it will be quite nice. They will be coming out July 1.

That was me, sorry. I didn’t notice that my name didn’t come up.
