Interim South Berwick Town Manager won’t vie for position

Despite saying a few weeks ago that she would consider applying for the long-term town manager’s job, interim Town Manager Roberta Orsini said Tuesday she will not be applying for the position after all.

South Berwick tax rate to increase by 11 percent

After dozens of workshops and council meetings, numerous budget cuts, and a marathon four-hour Town Meeting, the South Berwick 2009 tax rate has been set at $14.90 per $1,000 valuation. The amount represents about an 11 percent increase over last year’s rate.

Public hearings to be held on septic waste rule change in South Berwick
