Angela Walters, Oldfields Road is running for the one open seat as a South Berwick representative to the SAD 35 Board of Directors
Tell us something about yourself?
I have lived in the towns of Eliot and South Berwick for 21 years. My husband owns a small business and also owns rental property in South Berwick. I¢ve received my Masters Degree of Education in 2004 and also have a daughter attending Marshwood.
Why are you running for this position?
The reason I am running for the school Board is to serve the community and to insure that our tax Dollars is wisely spent.
What do you see as the biggest challenges and opportunities facing SAD 35?
The biggest challenges facing SAD 35 are how to keep the budget in line without sacrificing the quality of our children¢s education.
A couple of the greatest opportunities we have are that we have a first class art theater as well as first class music facility.
If you are elected, what priorities will you have for your term in office?
My biggest priorities I will have for my term in office will be to make sure our children are receiving the best education that we can provide for them without raising taxes any further. I’m especially concerned about the wasteful spending in our schools.

Paper plates that can be replaced with trays donated or purchased cheaply by the community.
What strengths, skills, and qualifications would you bring to the office?
My strengths are as follows: Excellent health. Plenty of time. Lots of energy. As well as a very high education. I have raised two girls very successfully through the SAD 35 system and have one still at Marshwood. I am new and very opened minded about issues.
As far as skills and qualifications I would bring to the office: I am organized and a good listener. I have experience in economics and accounting. I also have many computer skills. Please e-mail me if you have any questions.
