Susan Pullar, Brookwood Dr., is an incumbent running for the one open seat as a South Berwick representative to the SAD 35 Board of Directors
Here is Ms. Pullar’s response to the questions:
My name is Susan Pullar and I am running for the Board of Directors in MSAD #35. My family moved to South Berwick sixteen years ago. We chose to live in South Berwick because the school system had an excellent reputation. The schools proved to be a good fit for our daughter and we quickly felt comfortable in our new community.
I am completing my ninth year as a member of your school board. I remain committed to the district mission to provide a quality education for our children so that they may become productive citizens. We must remain mindful of the taxpayer as we build responsible budgets to support the educational mission. My nine years of experience on this board and as a member of the finance and facilities committee can serve this community in the next three years.
I would like to continue the work of the district through planning for the future. The district should utilize the expertise of its citizens in many areas but specifically in the area of energy consumption. We must be prepared to respond to changing conditions.
I support an open and responsive board and I feel input from community members is critical to our mission. I thank you for your time and support.
