Results from Special Town Meeting,
A Special Town Meeting was held to request authorization from the registered voters of South Berwick to bond two million dollars for road construction.
The request was defeated by a vote of 142 No votes to 35 Yes votes.

Town Council Meeting
Unfinished Business
1. Discuss/take action on sidewalk policy. The Council voted (3 yes – Demetracopoulos, Kareckas, MacPherson, two no -Webster and Burke) to amend the proposed policy to include all streets that are in the MSAD35 walking area (.75 mile from school) . The amended proposed policy will be on the agenda of the next meeting for action.
New Business
1. Take action on solid waste hauler license for Oceanside Rubbish Inc. - The Council voted unanimously to approve the license.
2. Discuss/take action on amendments to Personnel Policy. – The Council voted unanimously on several language changes to the Personnel Policy, including language that will reflect the change of health insurance provider.
3. Take action on release deeds for foreclosed properties.-The Council voted unanimously to release deeds.
4. Discuss/take action on Interim Manager’s Contract. – The Council voted unanimously to extend the Interim Town Manager’s Contract until February 17 when the new Town Manager begins work.
5. Discuss/take action on a designee for the Regional Efficiency Group. -The Council voted unanimously to designate Jean Demetracopoulos as the Council representative.
6. Discuss snow removal activities and the highway budget.-The Interim Town Manager alerted the Council to the fact that another snow storm could potential max out the budget for snow removal and the Council and the public will have to be prepared to move money from the designated fund to cover the overage.
