It is rainy and dreary and I can’t think of a better way to lift spirits than to get out and help the Willette family, who lost their home to a fire. Stop by the community fundraiser at the Middle School today and enter the raffles and silent auctions to benefit the Willettes.
The event is today, October 24 at the Marshwood Middle School from 9 am -3pm. There will be over 75 new items to win, including many gift certificates, gift baskets, lobsters, ipod shuffle, toys, and much more! The items will be on tables where people can purchase raffle tickets for $1.00 a piece and walk around putting there tickets in jars for what they would like to win.
There will also be a silent auction for larger items for people to bid on. Some of the more valuable items received so far are: A catered dinner for 10 from The Muddy River Marketplace, Bruins and Celtics “Stuff”, a truck load of firewood, tickets to UNH Hockey, a 4 hour fishing trip for two from a boat out of Wells, and the list continues to grow. Just this week the following items were added: 2 twin Quilts from Village Quilters in York, and 4 Loge Tickets to the Boston Celtics and a box of goodies from the Boston Bruins.
