MDOT Preliminary Public Meeting: Great Hill Bridge Replacement

6:00 PM – Council Chambers
Join MaineDOT at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, October 27, 2009, at a public meeting to discuss the future replacement of the Great Hill Bridge (#1236). The bridge carries the Great Hill Road over Great Works River, in the town of South Berwick. 

    Representatives of the Department of Transportation will be present at 6:00pm to listen to concerns, receive comments, and answer questions from anyone with an interest in the project.  The Department is particularly interested in learning local views relative to project consistency with local comprehensive plans, discovering local resources, and identifying local concerns and issues.  Anyone with an interest is invited to attend and participate in the meeting.

SAD 35: Public Hearing

The Public Hearing shall be conducted on the following Question which will be
the subject of a referendum vote on November 3, 2009:
Question 1: Shall the School Board of Maine School Administrative District No. 35 be
authorized to issue bonds, notes or lease purchase agreements in the name
of the District for minor capital project purposes in an amount not to exceed
$3,175,585 for energy conservation, indoor air quality and heating
renovations and improvements to District schools (collectively, “the
Project”), which Project includes the following:
1. Marshwood Middle School. Indoor air quality, ventilation and heating
system improvements and replacement of gymnasium windows to
improve energy savings;
2. Great Works School. Indoor air quality, ventilation and heating system
improvements;
3. Central Elementary School. Indoor air quality, ventilation and heating
system improvements;
4. Eliot Elementary School. Indoor air quality, ventilation and heating
system improvements.
5. The School Board may modify or reduce the scope of the Project to
ensure that the Project remains within budget.
