May 18 Update on Rt. 236 Great Works River Bridge Paving

The 236diner.com just received an update about the road construction on the Great Works River Bridge on Route 236 from Kimberly Ouellette of the Maine Department of Transportation:

The paving timetable, originally to occur this week, has changed.  The paving has been pushed to Friday and either Monday or Tuesday of next week.  However, tomorrow, Wednesday,  May 19,  Maine DOT will have a crew on site that will be cold planing butt joints (to match the existing pavement into the new pavement).  They plan to start around 10am, so the work wont disrupt the morning commuters, and it should only take 2-3 hours to complete, so they should be out of everyone’s way in the afternoon.
