Another update about the road construction on the Great Works River Bridge on Route 236 from Kimberly Ouellette of the Maine Department of Transportation:
On May 26 guardrail was installed and pavement markings were applied to the Great Works River Bridge, and it was opened to traffic in the evening. This is not to say that the project is complete, however, and there will still be work occurring throughout the project over the next month. Some of this work will require lane closures and stops in traffic flow from time to time, so the Maine Department of Transportation and CPM Constructors would like to remind motorists that the speed limit through this area is 35 mph, and to use caution while passing through the site.
